There have been plenty an awful lot of rumours surrounding the planned Batman vs. Superman movie, ever since the moment Warner Bros. and DC confirmed that Batman would be in the Man of Steel sequel. A lot of these rumours have surrounded the title of the film, which most have taken to calling Batman vs. Superman but could this be throwing everyone off the real case.
With the amount of other DC superheroes that are supposedly turning up in the movie, a lot of talk has turned to the possibility that we could actually be looking at a Justice League movie instead. We know that, as well as Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman, we are also going to see Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the film and there has also been talk of other DC superheroes being involved.
There has been a lot of talk about Stephen Amell, who plays the role of Green Arrow in the hit television series Arrow, having had talks to appear in a Justice League movie, which he has strongly denied. Meanwhile, others have suggested that Grant Gustin will also have a small role as The Flash, which he too is playing in a TV series, with both appearing in an end credit scene.
While there has yet been any confirmation on which other characters we will see in Batman vs. Superman, it does seem unlikely that this movie will be a Justice League movie. Instead, we feel that, following Batman vs. Superman, we will get a new Batman standalone movie, a Wonder Woman solo movie and then a Justice League film.
Batman vs. Superman will open on May 6, 2016.
