We know by now that Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart are acquaintances, if not close friends. Their gathering in Soho House Toronto, along with Emma Watson, caused a flood of news and attention on the trio, who were all meeting and talking to each other for the first time.

However, Jennifer Lawrence has recently given an interview to USA Today [about her new movie ‘Silver Linings Playbook’], and she says something that whether intentionally or unintentionally, seems like it’s a slight dig at Kristen Stewart.
When talking about her Oscar nomination at the young age of 20, she jokingly says, "I started sleeping with all the directors. It was totally helpful. I had to sleep with 98% of the Academy to get the Oscar nomination. The other 2% were dead."

It seems like a mostly innocuous statement – or at least, as innocuous as most of the things that come out of Jennifer’s mouth during press tours. And while it does seem that she’s not looking to make a joke at Kristen’s expense, it does seem like an oversight making that kind of joke just months after Kristen received such widespread backlash for the Rupert Sanders scandal. Let’s hope that Kristen doesn’t hear of this interview, as it just may strike a nerve.
