It seems that the most popular thing with Hollywood directors at the moment, is the casting of attractive Australian women in their movies. Yvonne Strahovski has made quite a name for herself after appearing in the hit NBC, spy TV show Chuck and has since landed herself some impressive movie roles.
Then there is Nicky Whelan, who rose to fame as Pepper in the hit Austalian TV show Neighbours. Nicky has since starred in a number of movies, most notably, her appearance in the Farrelly Brothers romantic comedy Hall Pass, alongside Owen Wilson.
Now Isabel Lucas is starting to make people stand up and take notice in Hollywood. Isabel is another, who rose to fame in an Australian soap, starring as Tasha Andrews in Home and Away. Lucas has since starred in the big budget movie sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and currently has four movies in production.
Also let us not forget about the rising stars, who could soon to be set to make a name for themselves in the acting world. Young Indiana Evans starred alongside Isabel Lucas in Home and Away and is now starring in the Australian drama Crownies. With her good looks and her obvious acting talent, it surely won’t be long before she follows in the footsteps of her fellow Aussies and heads for Hollywood.
The final Australian worth a mention is Victoria’s Secrets model Miranda Kerr. Miranda is married to British, Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom and the couple have a child together. It has been rumoured recently that Kerr is looking into the possibility of appearing in a movie sometime in the future. Oh and I suppose we should just give a quick shout out to the Australian, Hollywood queen Nicole Kidman, look what you have started.
