After the third instalment of the Transformers trilogy, Michael Bay announced that he had decided to walk away from the franchise, leaving the door open for someone new to come in and take over. Fans of Transformers were delighted by this news, after spending years voicing their displeasure at what Michael Bay was doing to their beloved franchise.
However, it did not take too long before Michael Bay decided to do a U-turn and announced that he was returning to direct the fourth instalment of the Transformers franchise, which was titled Transformers: Age of Extinction. Following the huge success of the movie, a fifth film was confirmed and Michael Bay confirmed that he would again direct the project.
In terms of the casting for the film, it was confirmed that Mark Wahlberg would be back to reprise his role as Cade Yeager, and now it seems that we have some new casting news for Transformers 5. It has been reported that the young and talented actress Isabela Moner has been cast to play the female lead in Transformers 5, her biggest role of her acting career to date.
Over the course of her career, we have seen Isabela Moner appearing in shows such as 100 Things to Do Before High School, and movies including The House That Jack Built. We look forward to seeing what Isabela has to offer in Transformers 5 and we are sure it will open up doors for bigger and better projects in the future.
Transformers 5 is aiming to hit the big screen on June 23, 2017 in the US.
