As like most fans, we cannot wait for Star Trek Into Darkness to be released, so we can finally get a good look at how J.J. Abrams has moved the story along. J.J. has once again been talking about the movie and he has claimed that, if he has done his job properly, then Star Trek Into Darkness will make the majority of viewers cry.
While speaking with MTV News, Abrams said, “The goal of this movie is to make you cry. If the movie does its job, then by the end of the movie, you will have had a reaction involving the eyes. If the movie works, then there's definitely an emotional component.”
He also again touched on Benedict Cumberbatch as John Harrison, saying, “There is an insidiousness and ruthlessness and fierce intelligence to [Harrison] that almost undermines the interconnectivity of the crew. The stakes are much higher.”
Star Trek Into Darkness stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Alice Eve and Anton Yelchin and is directed by J.J. Abrams. Star Trek Into Darkness is set to be released on May 17 in both the US and the UK.
