Right, now that we have got rid of those people who are still behind on Game of Thrones season 4, let's turn our attention to what happened in the recent episode Purple Wedding. Those of you who have read the books will have been expecting it to happen sometime soon and it has finally taken place. King Joffrey is dead.
Irish actor Jack Gleeson has played the role of Joffrey since the first season of Game of Thrones and he has been talking about seeing his character killed off in the Purple Wedding episode. Jack says that he already knew that Joffrey was going to be killed off and was expecting it to happen in season 4.

Gleeson told Entertainment Weekly, "I knew from Day 1 [that Joffrey was going to die]. When I got the part, I read the first book. And before that, I Googled the character summaries. I didn’t really think about it. I knew it was coming. I would have been surprised if it didn’t come in season 4."
Jack also admitted that he hoped that there were some fans who would miss Joffrey, adding, "I think it will be 50-50. There will be a delight that the person tormenting their favorite characters is gone, but I would like to think there’s a certain sadness at the loss of the delight people take in hating a character like Joffrey." Will you miss Joffrey?
Game of Thrones season 4 continues to air on HBO on Sunday evenings, while it airs in the UK on Monday nights on Sky Atlantic.
