It has been reported that Hollywood actor James Franco has signed up to play the role of Jay Sebring, in the biopic Beautiful People. James is set to appear in a number of interesting movies in the coming years, including Spring Breakers, and this project will add to his interesting choice of projects.
Beautiful People will centre around the life of Jay Sebring, the man who was responsible for building a hairstyling empire back in the 1960s. Sebring also developed a reputation for being a famous international gadabout and had a high profile romance with Sharon Tate. The romance eventually became platonic but ended in disaster, after both Jay Sebring and Sharon Tate were killed in the infamous Manson Family murders.
Lauren Wild will be penning the screenplay for the movie Beautiful People but it is unclear whether the tragic events that led to the death of Jay Sebring will be in the script. James Franco will also produce, along with his RabbitBandini Productions partners Miles Levy and Vince Jolivette.
Meanwhile, we can next see James Franco on the big screen, starring alongside Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and Zach Braff, in the movie Oz The Great and Powerful, which is set to be released on March 8 in both the US and the UK.
