We have had so many different names, that it is impossible to know who actually hasn’t been linked.

Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars have been linked to the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, with some saying they are simply not interested in the project, while others have admitted that they would love to star as the Billionaire Christian Grey.
Now, a new name has emerged as a possible candidate for Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie and he is certainly keen on being involved. That someone is James Franco, who has stated, “It sounds interesting, I heard Gus [Van Sant] might direct it. If he directed it, I'd do it.”

However, James Franco faces extremely stiff competition from the likes of Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer, who are far and away the fans favourites for the role. Ian and Matt have been battling it out at the top of fan polls since day one but fans don't always get what they want.
