British actor James McAvoy has revealed how he and his X-Men: First Class co star, Michael Fassbender are dead set on making a sequel to this summer’s superhero hit. However, James stated that it appears that getting together with Michael and also the movies director and the script writer will be the key to getting the film made sooner rather than later.
McAvoy explained, "We have talked a little bit about a second film. Michael and I are very much up for doing it and have some good ideas. The director is exceptional and we just need to write the script then. We'll all sit down, maybe Michael, I, the director and maybe Simon Kinberg who was hired to write the script and I think did some consulting on the last one. He's a very clever guy. If we could get a hold of those two with me and Michael we could get things sorted out quickly. It's whether they might do that or write a script behind closed doors. I dunno."
James McAvoy played a young Charles Xavier in X-Men: First Class, while Michael Fassbender played a young Erik Lehnsherr aka Magneto. X-Men: First Class also starred Jennifer Lawrence as Raven aka Mystique, January Jones as Emma Frost and Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy aka Beast. X-Men: First Class grossed over $350million worldwide, so a sequel is almost guaranteed to be made.
