Jamie Foxx brings BET, ‘Showtime At The Apollo’

Hip hop star turned Oscar winning actor, Jamie Foxx is all set to bring the show ‘Showtime At The Apollo’ to BET. Foxx is said to be ready and willing to start producing a pilot episode of the show for the network.

Showtime At The Apollo’ is held in high regard and has a legendary status within fans of the show. Jamie is in the process of finalising the deal so that work can begin on the pilot episode. Foxx hopes to bring in the show’s original director, Don Weiner.
 
Jamie Foxx, who won his Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of blind singer Ray Charles in the movie Ray, was in Cannes recently to perform his hit Gold Digger’ with fellow hip hop artist Kanye West. No date has yet been set for the pilot episode.
