Filming for Django Unchained begins this month and Jamie Foxx is already excited about playing the titular character and claims that Quentin Tarantino will make a movie to remember. Jamie stated that he believes that Django Unchained is set to be an epic movie that will stand the test of time and will have people talking about it for years to come.
Django Unchained is set to feature an all star cast and the list of top Hollywood names alone should ensure that the movie is a hit and Foxx cannot wait to get started. He explained, “This movie will be historic. People will be talking about it in 20 years.” Jamie Foxx won the role of Django, beating Will Smith, Idris Elba and Chris Tucker to the part.
Django Unchained is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and will star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sacha Baron Cohen, Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Kerry Washington and of course Jamie Foxx. Django Unchained is set to begin shooting this month and is due to be released in the US on December 25, 2012 before then being released in the UK a day later, on December 26, 2012.
