Jamie Foxx is a proven Hollywood actor who can boast about the fact that he has already won an Oscar but he seems to still have his feet very firmly on the ground. Jamie will play Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and he has admitted that getting to star in the film is such a humbling experience.

While talking to Access Hollywood, Foxx said, “[My daughter] dressed as Spider-Man for Halloween and had a Spider-Man jumper. Yesterday, I took her to the set, she didn’t know [that I had been cast], and she says, ‘What is this?’ I said, ‘Daddy’s going to be in Spider-Man.’”
He added, “She asked me, ‘Is Spider-Man going to beat you up?’ and I said, ‘I don’t know. She says, ‘Good,.’ [The role] is an amazing ride. So, it’s humbling and just a lot of fun.”

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will see the return of Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Sally Field Aunt May. Jamie Foxx joins the cast as Electro, along with Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson and Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be released on April 18, 2014 in the UK and May 2, 2014 in the US.
