Jane Kaczmarek was recently announced as one of the stars of the movie "The Boat Builder", a family-friendly film in which she will star opposite Christopher Lloyd. The story revolves around her father, played by Christopher Llloyd, who while in the twilight of his years and against the wishes of his daughter decides to build a ship that can travel in the seas in his oceanfront yard.

This dramatic film is a different film for the talented actress as she is usually part of comedy-dramas and thus will provide her the opportunity to show her fans that while she is known for making fans laugh she also possesses an impressive amount of dramatic range.
 
No one will ever dispute Jane Kaczmarek's ability to identify the various personalities that a person may possess and her ability to show the various dimensions of her character. In 2014 she has kept herself very busy with several different projects beginning with her providing the voice of Red Jessica in the television series "Jake and the Never Land Pirates". She followed this with her role of Gwen Crawford in the television series "Playing House" and then filmed an episode of "Here's Your Damn Family". Her most recent television role has been as Pam in the television series "Us & Them". 
 
The one common theme is that whenever there is a comedy role available it seems that television filmmakers look to Jane Kaczmarek first and then everyone else and that is indicative of her exceptional comedic acting and timing. 
 
Jane Kaczmarek is an actress who is in demand when it comes to comedy projects which is why her joining "The Boat Builder" is something that should not be overlooked. 
 
Sometimes actors need different challenges and "The Boat Builder" is a role that  provides this talented actress with a 'new' challenge for herself and might lead to her pursuing more dramatic roles in the future, something that filmmakers will likely be overjoyed about as she is an actress who who has the acting range to play many different roles whether the project is a drama or comedy.
