Former contestant on the ITV reality singing competition The X Factor, Janet Devlin has revealed that she is regularly stopped in the street by people who want to tell her where she went wrong on the show. Janet admits that, while it is sometimes nice to be stopped by people in the street, it is not right that they judge her as a person based on her few minutes of fame on The X Factor.
Devlin explained, “People can be quite harsh. They’ll say ‘I liked you before the show, I liked your first audition but I felt this happened’.” She then continued by adding, “But I’m just like, ‘You’re judging me on three minutes of TV and you’re saying that what you think I did wasn’t me’. It’s just odd.”
Janet Devlin is one of a number of former wannabes from The X Factor who likes to regularly interact with her fans. Janet does an Ask Janet online chat with fans, where she uses live webcam streaming to answer questions that her fans ask her via her Twitter page. Janet Devlin is currently penning songs for her debut album, which is expected to be released towards the end of the year.
