X Factor contestant Janet Devlin has been slammed on tonight's show for choosing her own song.
The sixteen-year-old previously said that she wasn't going to compromise herself on the show and have as much input as possible. However, the X Factor hopeful stepped out of her comfort zone with the theme for this week being 'dance', and performed her rendition of Jackson 5 'Want You Back', which failed to impress the judges.
Tulisa Contostavlos said "You've got your own style and it's amazing and unique but you doing something else tonight has made me think that maybe you should stick with what you know." Gary Barlow agreed, telling Janet: "Let Kelly mentor you because she really knows where you should be going."
Despite initially praising Janet Devlin, the singer's mentor, Kelly Rowland also told her that her performance wasn't the strongest. Lets hope the star can stay in the show to prove the judges wrong.
