There looks to be a lot going on in the career of Hollywood superstar Will Smith right now, with the actor having so much on his slate at the moment that he is having to pull out of some of his projects. Will was lined up to play the lead role in the planned movie Brilliance but he has since had to pull out of starring in the movie.
Will Smith was all set to take on the role in Brilliance but the project hit a few problems and production on the movie had to get delayed for a while as the issues were resolved. This meant that Will Smith then had to pull out of Brilliance, as he had other projects scheduled, which were in the way of him staying on for Brilliance.
Since Will Smith pulled out of Brilliance, we have been wondering just who would come on board for the project and replace the departing actor. It has now been suggested that Jared Leto, who won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in Dallas Buyers Club, is in talks to take on the lead role of Brilliance, replacing Will Smith.
There is no doubt some of you are familiar with Brilliance but, for those of you who are not too familiar with what the project is about, Brilliance is officially described as "A federal agent with a unique set of skills is drafted to hunt down a terrorist who is out to start a civil war."
Jared Leto would be joining Noomi Rapace in Brilliance, which is being directed by Julius Onah, based on the script that David Koepp developed from the Marcus Sakey novel.
