Those of you who are into your awards seasons will agree that this year has been one of the biggest and best award seasons for some time, with the biggest awards ceremony of them all, the Academy Awards, taking place tonight. The Oscars 2014 has been one of the most anticipated and tightly contested awards ceremonies for some years and the awards are already being dished out.
Almost all of the categories at the 2014 Oscars have been very tight, with all of the nominees in with a chance of taking home the trophy. The most recent Oscar to get handed out is the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award, which is just as tightly contested as all the other awards being given out tonight, with all five of the actors who have been nominated deserving of the win.
There has been plenty of talk about who is the favourite to take home the Best Actor in a Supporting Role Oscar, with all of the names being mentioned by someone. Up for the award are Jonah Hill for The Wolf of Wall Street, Jared Leto for Dallas Buyers Club, Michael Fassbender for 12 Years a Slave, Bradley Cooper for American Hustle and Barkhad Abdi for Captain Phillips.
The winner of the Best Actor in a Supporting Role Oscar 2014 is Jared Leto and it truly is a deserving success. This is the first Oscar of the actors career and we are sure that there will be plenty more Oscar nominations coming his way in the future.
During his speech, Leto said "Incredible. To my fellow nominees, I'm so proud to share this journey with you, I'm in awe." He also went on to pay tribute to his mother for making him the man he is today. Jared thanked his brother for their 30 Seconds to Mars journey, as well as thinking of the problems in Venezuela and Ukraine. To end the speech, Jared Leto paid tribute to AIDS victims. A fantastic speech.
