Singer Jason Derulo suffered a near death experience earlier in the year, when he broke his neck while performing a stunt during rehearsals for his tour. However, Jason is set to make a full recovery and he has admitted that the experience is set to have an influence on his music.
Derulo explained to the Daily Star, "Since my accident I've been in the studio. I probably got in too soon which wasn't the healthiest thing to do, but I have been so inspired by everything that's happened.”
He added, "The material has been coming out a little different as I realised what actually matters in life. It's a total eye-opener. The world got to slow down for a second, which is also really cool, plus I got the chance to spend time with my family and loved ones, which matters the most.”
Jason continued, "This is going to be a total reinvention and people will be really surprised. It's a total flip. I'm also trying to think of what to do with my look as I definitely want to change it up a little bit, maybe add some colour to my life."
Jason Derulo is currently dating Jordin Sparks, who he says has been his rock through his recovery process.
