There have been plenty of rumours flying around about the Star Wars: Episode 7 movie, with a number of directors being linked to the film. One such director is Matthew Vaughn, who seemed to become one of the front runners for the job of directing the new Star Wars film.

Jason Flemyng
Now, during an interview at the premiere for Seven Psychopaths, actor Jason Flemyng all but confirmed that Matthew Vaughn would be directing Star Wars: Episode 7 and that he was expecting a call to appear in the film.
Flemyng explained, “Me and [Matthew Vaughn] have done nine films together so I'm sure I'll get the call for Star Wars. But I'm sure it's going to be (does impression of Vaughn) 'Flemyng, no...I know on paper it doesn't look like much but I promise you it's essential to the part.' So we'll see what happens with that.”

Jason was then asked if Matthew was definitely going to be doing Star Wars: Episode 7, which made the actor realise that he may have just put his foot in it. Rather than state that Matthew Vaughn was directing Star Wars for definite, Flemyng just declared that he was interested in the project.
Star Wars: Episode 7 is currently set to be released in 2015.
