Over the past few months we have been receiving plenty of different rumours about the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film, with many fans linking a number of different stars to potential roles in the movie. While some of the rumours have turned out to actually be true, there are others that have fizzled out and simply been nothing more than rumours.
It will be interesting to see how this new rumour pans out, as many fans have become very excited by it. This rumour emerged towards the end of last week, when it was claimed that former Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa had been cast in a role in the Batman vs. Superman movie. As is always the case with rumours, this grew and developed and has now become more specific.
It is now being claimed that Jason Momoa has been cast in the role of Aquaman in Batman vs. Superman, as fans begin to speculate as to which DC character he would be most suited to. With the amount of DC superheroes that we already have in Batman vs. Superman, this is beginning to look much more like a Justice League movie and is running the risk of becoming overcrowded.
With that said, this is still just a rumour and it has not yet been officially confirmed that Jason Momoa will even be in Batman vs. Superman. We also expect that Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg will be small roles, as would Jason Momoa as Aquaman if the rumours were true. As for the overcrowding issue, Marvel had no such problem with The Avengers so DC have nothing to worry about.
The Batman vs. Superman movie has not yet received an official title and we would not be surprised if it does become a Justice League movie. Watch this space!
Do you think Jason Momoa would make a good Aquaman?
