There have been plenty of rumours about the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, since Marvel revealed that they would be adapting it for the big screen. A number of Hollywood names have been bandied around for certain roles in the film, with only one actually being cast.

It has already been confirmed that Chris Pratt has been cast to play the role of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord and there have been rumours suggesting that Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler are being considered for the roles of Rocket Raccoon and Groot.
Now, it has been claimed that Bullet to the Head actor Jason Momoa has been testing for the role of Drax the Destroyer for the Guardians of the Galaxy movie.The Hollywood Reporter's Borys Kit took to Twitter to confirm, "Clarity Alert: My sources are telling me Jason Momoa TESTED for Drax the Destroyer/GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY but at this time has NO offer."

The Guardians of the Galaxy movie has been written by James Gunn, who will also be directing the film. Production on Guardians of the Galaxy is set to begin quite soon, with film having a release date of August 1, 2014.
