Jason Segel and Ed Helms are set to appear in the Duplass Brothers (Jay and Mark) movie, Jeff Who Lives at Home and took the time to discuss their roles in the movie. Jason claims that it was not much of a challenge to play a loveable loser, while Ed admits that he enjoyed the improv.
Segel explained, "The simplest way I can put it is I just did exactly what they wrote. There was no, like 'What is my process?' or discovering the character." Helms then added, "I'm called upon to improvise a lot in different movies and on 'The Office,' and it's a great joy, but it's usually about trying to find the funniest beat or the funniest joke."
He added, "What was really kind of eye-opening, was to improvise the most mundane moments." Jeff Who Lives at Home also stars Judy Greer and Susan Sarandon and completed filming last year. The movie is set to be released in the US on March 2, 2012 and in the UK on April 20, 2012.
