We have seen a lot of Hollywood actors and actresses over the years, deciding to make the move from being in front of the camera, to being behind the camera, making their directorial debuts. While some of these talented actors and actresses have not quite found success in the directors chair, there are others who have gone on to show just how talented a star they really are.

Jay Baruchel is a huge talent
What is quite surprising is the fact that the extremely talented Jay Baruchel has yet to actually take to the directors chair, considering the fact that he has pretty much done everything else in the movie industry. However, Jay is preparing for his directorial debut by helming the big screen adaptation of the graphic novel Random Acts of Violence and he has revealed he has cast Emily VanCamp in the film.
Baruchel spoke to WENN about his directorial debut, telling them, "We finally have our financing and we have our leads. If we can get everything together at the right time it will be finally something I'll get to direct. So hopefully we'll be making this crazy, weird, little art horror movie in Northern Ontario this year. It will also star me, my friend David Krumholtz and my friend Emily VanCamp."

Emily VanCamp will star in the movie
For those of you who are not too familiar with Random Acts of Violence, the movie has been described as "A pair of comic book writers begin to notice scary similarities between the character they created and horrific real-life events."
We look forward to seeing what sort of directing style Jay Baruchel will have and whether he will be as big a success as a director as he seems to have been with other areas of his career.
