Jay Baruchel was most recently seen in 'This Is The End', where it's insinuated that his character detests Los Angeles. When Baruchel was recently interviewed by Hitfix, and asked whether he really hated LA, he explained that it's not his favorite place.
Jay Baruchel has been very busy recently
He stated, "It's just like cup of tea, right? But for some people it's the greatest place on Earth. L.A.'s just not for me. It never has been. Never once did I have that moment where I am like, "I'm home." I was always fucking square peg there. There's a lot about it that I like because it's a city of square pegs and it's a city where no one gives a shit what you look like because everyone's so high on themselves. So, like, you can walk around in fucking athletic gray sweatpants and no one gives a shit."
He also adds, "And that's nice and that's liberating and I have a lot of friends there and there's, like, some great restaurants, but it's just not my fucking city. It never felt like it. And unfortunately, when I'm there, I am exposed to a very narrow aspect of Los Angeles. Like I'm not working at Northrop Grumman or something like that. So I'm seeing a part of L.A. that fucking grates on me."
