While there are some stars in the entertainment industry, who like to pretty much keep themselves to themselves and only really like to do their job and then leave the glitz and glam for everyone else, there are others who love to make their name as big as possible, in a bid to raise their profile, before then going on to help others through their name.
There are plenty of stars around the world who have used their fame to help different charities, organisations and other causes close to their heart. One such star, who has admitted that they like to use their name and fame to help good cause, is the actor Jean-Claude Van Damme, who also likes to help put a smile on people's faces.
Van Damme was recently talking about his fame, when he admitted, "The ability to smile is an integral part of life. The absence of a smile is hostile to our nature, to the joy. You must have a strange feeling when you see a child or an adult, who can‘t smile and you can. So I want to help. I became famous and I need to use it for good causes."
As far as his acting career is concerned, Jean-Claude Van Damme is preparing for the release of his newest movie Pound of Flesh, which has been directed by Ernie Barbarash, based on the script developed by Joshua James, with a release date expected some time in 2015. We look forward to seeing it, hopefully next year.
