With Red Dawn finally being released this year after so long of sitting on the shelf, we have been bringing you back up to date with the movie with some interviews that the Red Dawn cast have given. Red Dawn was filmed back in 2009 and now, three years later, it is finally going to make its big screen appearance. One of the stars of the movie Jeffrey Dean Morgan believes the Red Dawn remake sticks pretty close to the 1984 original.
Morgan explained, "It's really close. I think the script is really close. I think it won't have Patrick Swayze and Emilio Estevez – it'll be us guys. The explosions, the effects will be bigger. But it's got a lot of action in it, but the story stays pretty true to what the original was. We had a great time shooting it. Hopefully that will translate. I'm excited for it too."
He added, "The cast is great. Michigan was brutal in November and December. It was rough. But the cast is awesome, some really bright young kids. I was very excited and happy to work with them." As well as Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Red Dawn also stars Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Isabel Lucas. Red Dawn is set to be released on November 2.
