Actress Jemima Kirke has seen her career take off in a fairly big way over the past few years, first appearing in the 2010 film Tiny Furniture, before going on to become a hit as Jessa Johansson in the HBO television series Girls. Jemima clearly owes a lot of her success to Lena Dunham.
Jemima and Lena became good friends while studying the art of acting at school. Lena Dunham wrote and directed the movie Tiny Furniture, giving her good friend Jemima Kirke her break through role. Then Lena created the show Girls for HBO, again getting Jemima in on the act.
While there is no denying that Jemima Kirke is a beautiful and talented actress, you cannot take away the fact that her two biggest projects to date have been created by her friend Lena Dunham. We are sure that Jemima would have eventually made it on her own but Lena has certainly given Jemima a boost.
As for her future in the acting industry, Jemima Kirke does not have anything over than Girls lined up for the near future. It will be interesting to see what Lena Dunham does next and if she takes her good friend Jemima Kirke along for the ride.
