Fans of the hit television series Doctor Who are getting eagerly excited about the upcoming Doctor Who episode, which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the show, before then seeing that much talked about regeneration in the Doctor Who Christmas Special in a few weeks time.
The Doctor Who Christmas Special will see the exit of the current Doctor Matt Smith, and the introduction of the new Doctor Peter Capaldi, with that regeneration. Jenna Coleman will continue as the Doctor's companion and she has opened up about the regeneration scene.
Coleman explained, "I knew it was going to be sad, but it was really traumatic. It was very emotional and overwhelming. It's a strange thing [but] it's the nature of the show. Matt leaves, Peter arrives in his costume and the scene carries on. You just keep going - that's the show."
The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special airs around the world on November 23 and will see the return of former Doctor David Tennant, as well as his companion Billie Piper. Meanwhile, the Doctor Who Christmas Special will air on Christmas Day, marking the end of Matt Smith's run and the beginning of Peter Capaldi's.
