Jenna Ushkowitz is best known for Tina Cohen-Chang in the hit Fox TV show 'Glee', but she's expanding her horizons beyond just acting. Ushkowitz recently released a book called 'Choosing Glee: 10 Rules To Finding Inspiration, Happiness, and The Real You'.
The book is 'part memoir, part teen advice book' with anecdotes from Jenna's own life, her tips to finding success, happiness, and being yourself, and being confident in your actions and abilities. Jenna recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the book and explained, "It’s always been on my bucket list to write a book. It sort of organically happened. I wrote this treatment in like 24 hours. The main 10 rules kept popping up over and over again, so that’s where we found the streamline for it.”
Jenna also explains that she utilizes McKinley High School [which is one of the main settings in Glee] by having characters from the show give their own advice. She adds, "I think some of the things I [hope for her are] to take risks and to not take everything so seriously. Make sure you tell people how you feel and to laugh everyday!”
Jenna's mainly known for her work on 'Glee', although she has had small roles outside of the show. In addition to Jenna Ushkowitz, Glee also stars Chris Colfer, Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, and Cory Monteith.
