Jennifer Connelly surprised many at the recent Louis Vuitton Monogram celebration which took place at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City when she wore a glittering red and white zippered front shift dress which had clashing patterns and provided the illusion of a painted canvas. The gorgeous actress wore the dress with textured black tights and matching patent leather booties which showed off her lean legs. She matched the look with a red and black clutch which was very similar to a jewelry box.
Some entertainment publications such as the "Daily Mail" (November 8) have described her outfit as a 'statement' dress and I for one can agree that she is letting the world know that she looks 'Fabulous' and has legs to die for and a body that can make any dress look spectacular. Her move away from the customary elegant, sophisticated appearance she usually brings to public events to a more 'edgy' fashion look for this event is not surprising as she just will soon be on the big screens as a homeless, grief stricken heroin addict for the film "Shelter".
The film, which provided her the opportunity to work with husband Paul Bettany as it was his first 'directorial' effort was one in which she drastically changed her appearance for the role. To play the role of a homeless woman who falls in love with another homeless man she lost an incredible 25 lbs as this was a role that required her to do much research to learn about the circumstances of the character's life that she knew nothing about.
Jennifer Connelly is one of the few actresses who possesses the talent and grit to play this type of role but as she showed at the Louis Vuitton Monogram celebration, she 'cleans up' nicely and definitely knows how to make a memorable fashion statement when out at public events.
