Jennifer Lawrence is riding a huge wave of fame and fortune these days, after The Hunger Games and her Oscar win for Silver Linings Playbook. As one of the biggest female stars in the world, she's gearing up for another few months of whirlwind publicity for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and then the awards season contender American Hustle
In a new interview with Accion Cine, Jennifer discusses her recent Oscar win and the way her life has changed following that momentous occasion. She explains, "Thankfully it hasn’t changed my life. I don’t even know where it is. I think it might be in Kentucky. That’s what I hope, at least, because if not then I have no idea (laughs). I don’t have it." Self-deprecating as always.
She does add that the Oscar has changed her professional life, explaining, "You get a lot more opportunities. Obviously an Oscar is not something that can ever hurt your career. In fact, it only does wonderful things for it. The only thing that’s really changed is my personal life, being able to go out and stuff like that. It’s a bit more complicated. But besides that, nothing’s changed."
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire might even make upwards of 160 million dollars in its opening weekend, which will ensure that Jennifer remains in the spotlight. She's also being spotlighted as a major contender for another Best Supporting Actress nomination for her work in American Hustle, which will mean three Oscar nominations by the age of 24. Quite an accomplishment for an actress that was still an unknown quantity in 2011, when Winter's Bone had just been nominated.
