As we previously reported a couple of weeks ago (the link), Jennifer Lawrence has signed on to become the next face of Dior, reportedly for its Miss Dior handbag collection. She would be joining the elite company of Mila Kunis, Natalie Portman, and Charlize Theron as the international movie stars representing the Dior brand across the world.

Many suspected this would be coming, especially as Lawrence has been wearing almost Dior more often in many of our outings, and she was also spotted at a Dior fashion show months ago. WWD reports that Lawrence says, “It’s such a dream to represent an iconic brand that is synonymous with high fashion” on becoming the face of Dior. Lawrence also mentioned that most of her introduction from fashion came through the industry, saying, “It’s impossible to be in the industry without getting even the slightest introduction to fashion.”
In the interview with WWD, Lawrence also said, “I hate being overdressed so I normally find a way to ‘casualize’ anything too showy. If I have a red-carpet event, I definitely want a couple hours to get ready. But for my every day life, I’m normally ready in 15 minutes.”
Lawrence is also asked about doing a period, costume drama, and she replies, “I love to watch the fashion of the 1800s and Victorian ages. That said though, I have heard too many horror stories and worn too many corsets on a red carpet to ever want to wear that all day!”
