The incident where Jennifer Lawrence saved someone’s life in her backyard was well documented by the paparazzi, with various headlines and articles explaining about how Jen rushed to the passed out teenager in her yard and made sure that she got help immediately. Now, Jennifer covers the new issue of Backstage Magazine [via HG Girl on Fire] and discusses what really happened that day in the accompanying interview.
She says, “There was a girl passed out in the yard, and I ran over to her, and her eyes were kind of rolling back,” she says. “I tried to wake her up and said, ‘What did you take?’ She just went, ‘Vodka!’ I was like, ‘Hon, I’m a vodka expert; this does not happen from vodka.’ So I tried to get her phone to call her mom, and her phone was dead. That’s when I saw the paparazzi and was like, ‘Really? In a moment like this?’ ”
She adds that an ambulance was called and the girl ended up being ok, but that she got into big trouble with her mother. Jennifer jokingly adds, “I didn’t save anyone’s life; I just got her in really big trouble with her mother. She probably hates me. All her friends are probably like, ‘We’re going to go see “Hunger Games!”’ And she’s like, ‘I’m not—that bitch got me grounded!’ ”
Jennifer has been busy with the awards circuit this year, and has spent the last few weeks appearing on talk shows and promoting her performance in ‘The Silver Linings Playbook’. In all of her performances, she has managed to charm her audience and gain new fans, and with her recent award at the Santa Barbara Film festival as well as her slew of new interviews, she is headed straight to Oscar glory. While the category of Best Actress is still uncertain, her upcoming issue of Backstage Magazine [which is big in the industry] as well as her upcoming appearances [including the BAFTA Awards this Sunday] will push her to the top of voter lists.
