Jennifer Lawrence auditioned for the role of Bella Swan in the Twilight movies when she was just 17 but she was overlooked in favour of Kristen Stewart. Jennifer has since gone on to star in the hit movie The Hunger Games and claims that she is glad that she didn’t get the Twilight role, as she is very proud of The Hunger Games.
Lawrence told the Guardian, “Oh yeah, for sure. I remember when the first movie came out, seeing Kristen Stewart on the red carpet and getting papped wherever she went. I'd had no idea Twilight would be such a big deal. For me, and assuming for her, it was just another audition. Then it turned into this whole other thing.”
Jennifer then admitted that she was worried about The Hunger Games at first, “Yes, of course. I worried that it would be overwhelming and that no one would be able to see me as any other character. But I really cared about the movie. I'm as proud of The Hunger Games as I am any of the other films I've done,” she added.
Jennifer Lawrence has been nominated for the Best Actress award for her role in the movie Silver Linings Playbook. The film has been receiving mixed reviews but has also been nominated for the Best Motion Picture, while Bradley Cooper is up for Best Actor.
