The Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that the main reason she accepted the role of Katniss Everdeen, is because the story means so much to her. Jennifer admitted in an interview with Den Of Geek that she loves everything about the movie.

Lawrence explained, “I mean, that was scary. I love the film, I love the script, I love the books, I love what they represent, I love the story, I love the director, I love working with directors I love… but the size of it was definitely something that will make you pause, because it’s life-changing.”
She added, “I just didn’t want to pass on it just because I’m scared. I always said, when I was doing indies, and everybody always asked me why I never did a studio, I was like, ‘well, because it doesn’t matter about the size of the film, it matters about the script, and that you’re telling a story you care about.’ And this was a story that I cared about and I wasn’t going to do it because of the size of it.”

Jennifer continued, “So, I think I’ve accepted the fact that my life is gonna change drastically, but it’s gonna be because of these films that I’m happy and proud to be part of.”
The Hunger Games is set to be released on March 23.
