Jennifer Lawrence was already a proven actress, earning an Oscar nomination for her role in the 2010 movie Winter’s Bone, when she was given the role of Katniss Everdeen in the movie The Hunger Games. However, it was the latter role which made Jennifer a global superstar and sent her career into overdrive.

Yet Jennifer admits that she almost turned down the chance to appear in The Hunger Games, as she was worried how such a huge role would affect her career. She claims that she now chooses which roles she accepts very carefully and is proud to be involved in such a great film as Silver Linings Playbook.
Lawrence told The Telegraph, “My biggest concern in taking on this franchise was that people wouldn’t be able to lose themselves in my other films — that they would only see Katniss. I have definitely put a lot of thought into the movies I am doing that come out around The Hunger Games. That’s why making a great film like Silver Linings Playbook was so important.”
