In her new movie ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper play on-screen love interests. Lawrence offers up the reason for their on-screen chemistry in a new interview with Inquirer Entertainment, saying they have none off-screen. “Bradley and I had really wonderful chemistry onscreen,” Jennifer volunteered. “I think the key to sexual chemistry onscreen is having no sexual chemistry off-screen. I love him to death and we’re really great friends.”
She also equates shooting a film to summer camp, saying “In a lot of ways, filmmaking is like summer camp. It’s like a bunch of boys and girls away from their homes. I’ve never personally thought, ‘Wow, this film is really erotic. I’ve normally thought, this film is really annoying. When are we going to wrap?’”

Lawrence also adds that acting against Robert DeNiro was amazing, saying it was was “incredible,” working opposite the acting legend. “He’s an icon but, when you get to know him, he’s just so sweet, charming, nice and real.”
She talks about how even though she felt barely prepared to deliver a page and a half monologue, he helped her through it. “I don’t know where the confidence came from because I never read my lines the night before work. I normally just wait until I show up on the set. One day, randomly, I was like, ‘Why don’t I look at what scene I’m doing tomorrow?’ It was that page-and-a-half of monologue. I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ I showed up and felt I had barely prepared. He was wonderful. We just did it. He’s very supportive. He has a way of looking in your eyes… it’s not intimidating, not like he’s looking through you. He’s a very comforting presence.”
