When X-Men: First Class came out, it was interesting to see how sweet and innocent Mystique was, the complete opposite of the Mystique that we saw in the original X-Men movies. However, it seems like that sweet innocence is well and truly gone in the upcoming sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence is back in the role of Mystique in X-Men: Days of Future Past and she has spoken about the transition in Mystique, which sees her become the cold-blooded killer from the original movies.
Lawrence told IGN, "She's split off from Eric and Charles, and she's kind of her own agent. She has one mission of trying to assassinate somebody and it will be her first kill, basically. Because we've seen her in the future, and what she becomes, this is kind of a turning point for her."
X-Men: Days of Future Past has a great blend of the old and new, with a cast that includes Jennifer Lawrence, Evan Peters, Michael Fassbender, Ellen Page, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy, Peter Dinklage, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry and Patrick Stewart. X-Men: Days of Future Past opens on May 22, 2014 in the UK and May 23, 2014 in the US.
