Jennifer Lawrence has catapulted to the top of the A-list in a very short amount of time, so it would be normal, almost expected, to see her attitude change. However, amidst all the attention and awards hoopla, she has managed to stay refreshingly honest, charming, and grounded, a rarity in Hollywood. In a recent interview with Fabulous Magazine, she attributes all that to her family.
She explains, "Definitely my family is not the kind of family that would ever let me turn into an asshole or anything like that, so I am fortunate to have them.”
She also adds that her family also instilled an appreciation for money, so she still has a hard time taking things for granted. As she says, "I just constantly feel so lucky, that I don’t really have time to feel cocky. I was raised to have value for money, to have respect for money, even though you have a lot of it. That’s why mini-bars are difficult, because it’s like yes, I can afford a $6 Snickers bar, but there’s just something wrong with that! I still drive my same car I’ve been driving for a long time and I haven’t bought a house yet."
Lawrence is currently shooting the David O. Russell's Abscam project in Boston, where she's been spotted out and about with a poofy blonde updo. After wrapping up her small role in the film, she is supposedly heading straight to the set of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past', where she will reprise her role as Mystique.
