Former American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez has spoken out about the supposed argument between the two new American Idol judges, Nick Minaj and Mariah Carey. Jennifer states that she believes the feud was very real, as things happen in the heat of the moment on the show.

Lopez told BBC Newsbeat, “I heard a little bit. As far as my experience goes, whatever's happening is usually really real.” She also admitted missing the show, “I do miss it. I loved doing the show and I loved all the people there,” she added.
Meanwhile, American Idol boss Nigel Lythgoe also spoke out against reports that the argument was staged to win ratings. He said to TMZ, “I have no idea why I would be doing it [for ratings] five months before the show went out. I would only do ANYTHING for ratings a month before the show went out. They've got my timing wrong.”

He added, “They (Nicki and Mariah) were amicable that afternoon. I think before anyone makes any judgements, they should watch the show.”
