When it comes to celebrity weddings we often expect to see a huge occasion with a whole host of big name stars in attendance. The bride will have the biggest and most beautiful wedding dress going, there will be big name stars performing at the wedding, while the photos will be sold to a magazine for a big fee.
However, it seems that not all celebrity couples are interested in having the huge wedding, with some preferring to opt for a quiet wedding, even heading away somewhere for the big day. That is exactly what Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg are planning for their wedding, with both admitting that they just want a ceremony with their loved ones in attendance.
Donnie stated, "I'd like a small wedding. A perfect wedding for me would be Jenny, myself, and our three boys," while Jenny went on to add, "It would be this year or next year. We like the idea of getting away on a vacation, but we also like the idea of keeping it local."
Meanwhile, McCarthy did admit that she does have some plans in mind for the wedding, if they do decide not to have the ceremony in another country, "Andy [Cohen] would officiate if we're not eloping! [I'd also] like to write my own vows," she told Us magazine.
Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg have been dating since July 2013 and, while there have been the occasional rumour about the relationship being on the rocks, the couple confirmed that they were engaged earlier this month, with Jenny making the official announcement on The View on April 16.
