The Marvel movie The Avengers was a huge success but, while everyone was mostly positive about the movie, there were a few little points of criticism. One of those was how Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, was taken over so early in the film and walked around like a zombie for the remainder.
One person in particular, who was less than pleased with Hawkeye in The Avengers, was Hawkeye himself, Jeremy Renner. Jeremy said some harsh things about how he had to play Hawkeye in the movie, claiming that he did not get to play the character he had signed up for.
This led to many people suggesting that Jeremy Renner would have to exit The Avengers franchise, either being replaced by a new actor, or by removing Hawkeye from the movies. However, it seems that Jeremy's concerns were taken on board by writer and director Joss Whedon.
While talking about The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Whedon said, "Part of the fun for me, definitely this time around, is writing Hawkeye," proving that Jeremy Renner and Hawkeye have a big part to play in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron will open on May 1, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
