The Help actress Jessica Chastain has been nominated for the Best Actress Golden Globe for her performance in the movie Zero Dark Thirty. Jessica has been talking about the Golden Globes, saying that it is like going to her Prom, as she never went when she was at school.
Talking to USA Today, Chastain said, “I never got invited to my prom at my school, so I never had the opportunity to dress up when I was younger. Until the past couple of years. And now being able to go to the Golden Globes, it just means not only is it such a beautiful thing to be recognised for playing this incredible woman, Maya, now it's like, 'I get to wear pretty dresses again.”
Jessica then went on to talk about how hard it was to make Zero Dark Thirty, “It’s very meaningful because lead female characters in movies usually are defined by the men. This is a woman who completely stands on her own,” she added.
As well as Jessica Chastain, Zero Dark Thirty also stars Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler and Jennifer Ehle. Zero Dark Thirty is director by Kathryn Bigelow and is set to be released on January 11, 2013 in the US and then on January 25, 2013 in the UK.
