Jessica Chastain is an actress who has been working very hard for a number of years but a lot of her movies did not see the light of day until 2011, making Jessica’s rise to fame pretty dramatic. Jessica admits that, while she has had one of the most wonderful years of her life, she has still found the past year quite scary.
Chastain explained, "This has been a scary year... a wonderful year. But my life is changing and I don't know what it means. All year I've been afraid of falling flat on my face, physically and metaphorically. I'm not talking about the fame. But I knew I was going to be an actor... I would be really happy doing plays off Broadway for hardly any money."
She added, "I'm not the normal idea of what a gorgeous woman is. I don't look modern. There's nothing about me that makes you think, 'movie star'. I'm just this normal girl." You can catch Jessica Chastain on the big screen, when she appears alongside Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Mia Wasikowska and Shia LaBeouf, in the John Hillicoat directed movie The Wettest County, which is set to be released on August 31, 2012.
