It has been all over the tabloids and news that Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence are locked in a fierce feud over who deserves the Oscar more. There has been all manner of reports alleging that this rumored feud was getting ‘out of hand’ and that it both actresses were doing their best to avoid each other at awards functions.

Now, anyone who’s seen the duo together at awards functions can immediately tell that this is not the case, especially as both are exceptionally polite and have spoken openly about their admiration for each other. Jessica Chastain has even taken to her official Facebook to blog about the rumors, saying, “I find it very sad that media makes up bogus stories about women fighting in this industry. Filming The Help was the most amazing experience and yet, that is the film Im most asked about in regards to "fighting on set". Why do we support the myth that women are competitive and cannot get along?”
She continued, “I think all of the actresses recognized this year have given incredible performances. But more important, they've all shown themselves to be filled with generosity and kindness. I've done two photo shoots with Jennifer Lawrence over the years and have found her to be utterly charming and a great talent. I've told her how beautiful her film work is.”
The Oscars are approaching in two weeks
Chastain is one of the most humble actresses out there, exemplified by the fact that she takes so much of her time signing autographs for fans when most other actresses just rush by. After each of her shows on Broadway, she would painstakingly make her way through every single member of the crowd awaiting her, signing autographs and taking pictures. If she says that the feud is false [and with a personality like her, can you actually imagine her feuding with anyone?], then it’s most definitely false. It seems that all these ‘feud’ rumors stemmed from Jennifer Lawrence’s SNL skit about her Oscar competitors, but these people clearly don’t understand that that skit was meant as a joke, nothing else.
