Hollywood star Jessica Chastain has become one of the most sought after actresses in the business at the moment and has been going from genre to genre. Jessica currently stars in the Horror movie Mama and she has admitted that she looks up to fellow actresses who have starred in Horror movies and says that she hopes to do them proud.
Chastain explained to The Playlist, “You think about Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts, Mia Farrow, Jamie Lee Curtis. So many women I really respect have done these great characters in horror films. And I'm excited. I hope to do even more! I love it so much.”
Jessica also admitted that she enjoyed playing the more grittier roles, rather than the elegant female roles that she has had in the past, “Enough of the graceful characters,” she stated, before adding, “I want to get my hands dirty.”
Jessica Chastain can be seen on the big screen, starring alongside Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, in the movie Mama, which is written and directed by Andres Muschietti. Mama was released in the US last week and is set to be released in the UK on February 22.
