Following the controversy that surrounded the movie Snow White and the Huntsman, there was a lot of uncertainty surrounding the possible sequel for the film. However, it was soon announced that director Rupert Sanders and actress Kristen Stewart, who had an affair on the first film, would not be returning for the sequel and the project began to push ahead.
We are now just a few days away from seeing the big release of the movie The Huntsman: Winter's War and we are looking forward to seeing what the new film has to offer. As well as some returning cast members, we will also see Jessica Chastain appearing in the film as the wife of the Huntsman, and the actress clearly did a good job, receiving huge praise from director Cedric Nicolas-Troyan.
Nicolas-Troyan was chatting to SciFiNow about the new movie, when he said of Jessica, "Ah, Sarah. She's a badass. She's really badass. I think it was fun for Jessica to play because she doesn't usually that that type of character."
He added, "It was really fun for me to work with her because I love those characters. She's equal; she's a huntsman too. She's not just one of the huntsmen; she's the leader of the huntsmen when Eric goes away. They're husband and wife, so they are on equal footing."
While Jessica Chastain has joined the cast of the new movie, The Huntsman: Winter's War will also see the return of Chris Hemsworth as The Huntsman, and Charlize Theron as Ravenna. The Huntsman: Winter's War is set to hit the big screen on April 4 in the UK, before then going on to open in the US on April 22.
