With the new James Bond movie Spectre getting ever closer to its release, there has been plenty of talk about the franchise, especially since it seems that actor Daniel Craig has all but quit as the character. While there has been a lot of attention on which actor should replace Daniel Craig as James Bond, we are more interested in looking at which actress should play a future Bond Girl.
In the upcoming James Bond movie Spectre, we see both Monica Bellucci and Lea Seydoux as Bond Girls, so it is going to be quite hard to top them. However, actress Jessica Chastain has all the attributes to become one of the best Bond Girls to date but, when Jessica was asked about the possibility of being a future Bond Girl, she admitted that she would rather be a Bond Villain.
Chastain featured in W magazine, and in the accompanying interview, she explained, "One of my goals is to play a villain in a Bond film. People ask me if I want to be a Bond girl, and I say, ‘No, I want to be the villain.’ I’m waiting for that call!" We would love to see Jessica Chastain in a James Bond movie in any capacity.
For now though, we will have to make do with seeing Jessica Chastain on the big screen in her current movie The Martian, which has been doing fantastically well at the box office, grossing almost $250m worldwide (at time of writing). Meanwhile, Jessica will next be seen in the new movie Crimson Peak, which will open on October 16.
