Jessica Chastain has been on a hot streak lately, especially after earning two back-to-back Oscar nominations for 'The Help' and 'Zero Dark Thirty'. After working non-stop for the past 4 years, it doesn’t look like her momentum is slowing down at all as she’s been attached to some prestigious projects in the last few weeks. After being confirmed for Miss Julie opposite Colin Farrell, it is now being reported that she is in talks to play Jane in Warner Brother’s upcoming Tarzan reboot.

Jessica Chastain has a busy couple of years coming up
Alexander Skarsgard has been linked to the role of Tarzan, and sources have said that he is WB’s top choice for the film. Now, The Post reports that Chastain is the top choice for Jane as well.
Currently, David Yates is set to direct and Samuel L. Jackson is said to be playing the role of the mercenary that help Tarzan out in his mission to save the Congo. The reboot will likely be a darker re-imagining of the classic children’s story, and is definitely looking as if it is aiming to target a broader demographic than the previous films.

There was originally a long delay on this project, and many feared that it would end up going the same way as the Arthur and Lancelot film that was also being planned by WB. However, this recent casting tidbit is encouraging news that the film is in active pre-production, and we may actually get to see it in theaters within the next couple of years.
