It is beginning to feel like social media is taking over the world these days, with the majority of people in the world having some form of official social media accounts. Since social media took off and became the huge force it is today, we have seen a number of people hiding behind their devices, making fun of others and trolling for someone to target.

British music star Jessie J has now spoken out about people using social media for all the wrong reasons, insisting that more people need to learn to be loving and caring towards one another, rather than being negative and mean to people. While Jessie J does make a very good point, we can't help but feel that her words will simply fall on deaf ears.
Jessie J explained, "The love people will happily give someone when it may be too late, is often the love they really needed to survive when they were falling. Next time you think about making a Instagram joke or to judge someone. Really think."

She added, "If this was about me, if I felt really low would it help? We can save each other. But we live in a world where people will slow down at a car crash and take a picture before they jump out to help. We are all human. We all need love."
Sorry Jessie but as hard as it is to hear, there are always going to be those people who take joy from other people's misery and social media has made it far too easy for them to get their kicks.
